Why I Became a Life Coach
"Hi, I'm Laphol, also known as Home. I'm a certified Life Coach and a proud member of the Association for Coaching (AC) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF). With a background in teaching and communication, I bring a diverse skill set to my coaching practice.
Outside of work, I'm an avid reader, gamer, and ice cream lover! But life hasn't always been this joyful for me. I've experienced my fair share of fear, self-doubt, and struggles with self-expression.
My life took a dramatic turn during Christmas 2021 when I underwent a major spinal surgery. Confronting the potential death, I realized I had been living a life full of regrets.
It was during rehabilitation that I experienced the incredible support and guidance of coaches and friends who played a pivotal role in my journey.
This profound experience ignited my passion to become a life coach, driven by my core values of authenticity and kindness. I'm here to help individuals like you create the life you truly desire.
My Coaching Approach
Your well-being
Prioritizing your safety in the space and time we spend
Life coaching service is a service that provides a space for healthy conversation and self-reflection for clients. This includes active listening, emotional support, asking questions, and sometimes, even challenging their beliefs in a respectful manner. The goal is to help them understand themselves and aware of their own resourceful so they can live the life they truly want.
Core Principles & Intentions
L — Listening
E — Exploring
A — Action
R — Review
Authenticity
Showing up authentically.
It’s mandatory for you to trust me
as who I am.
Once we explore what happened, I’ll help you create a practical plan that suits your willingness and resources. I may also share some helpful resources if I believe they’d help you with the process.
Great Communication
Communicating clearly and compassionately.
Methodology
Coaching sessions typically last for 60 minutes and are conducted via Zoom calls. My current approach is my take on the CLEAR model. It’s a coaching model that is structured to help us first gain information, then reflect on it, and finally carve a tailored plan for you to get what you truly want.
C— Contracting
Greeting and setting goals for the call. This can be a problem you want to solve or reflecting on your experience or emotions. In other words, anything you want to talk about.
It’s time for you to let what is in your head out. My clients find it already helpful to feel listened to. It’s a great opportunity for us to gain information for working on the goal.
I’ll help you explore the information you share earlier by asking insightful questions. This will help you understand your belief and situation better.
Once we explore what happened, I’ll help you create a practical plan that suits your willingness and resources. I may also share some helpful resources if I believe they’d help you with the process.
